WIPE OUT LEAD, MANTUA TOWNSHIP:  In a partnership with the State of New Jersey and the County of Gloucester, Mantua Township is pleased to provide free lead pain test kits as a public service to its residents. The kits can be obtained from the Township Clerk during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Office of the Township Clerk is located at 401 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051.  Lead paint is highly toxic metal, which can pose a danger to ones health, especially children who are six years old or younger. Homeowners whose residences were built in 1978 or earlier are urged to have their homes tested. Exposure to lead-contaminated dust derived from lead-based paint, not the lead-based pain itself, is the most common way to get lead poisoning.
