Villages at Berkley Town Watch Group The Villages at Berkley Town Watch Group was Formed in 1999 and redeveloped in 2000, as a proactive community organization. This watch group meets on a monthly basis at The Villages at Berkley Club House and teaches crime awareness classes and topics. We always combine community updates within our own Association, as well as the larger community (Mantua Twp and Gloucester County). We cover current events and crime trends and have rotating subjects to keep our people informed. We can be contacted at Villages at Berkley Town Watch Group email: townwatch@vabca.com 255 Berkley Rd, Mantua NJ 08051 (856) 415-1330 www.vabca.com (Town Watch link) An annual Barbecue and Membership drive is held each July, as well as a Christmas / Holiday party Membership drive the first Saturday evening in December. Our group consists of about 15 people of various different activity levels. We don't go out on watch patrol we simply watch while we're out. We have in almost the past 10 years created a Town Watch mentality in our community, where even persons who are not formal members do watch functions by being aware of their surroundings, making mental notes of what things look like under normal conditions, then if things look off normal, reach out, call the Police or appropriate support agency. Our meeting schedule for the balance of 2008: All meetings are held at 7:30 PM in the Villages at Berkley Club House Sept 23, 2008 Oct 28, 2008 Nov 18, 2008 Annual Holiday Party Dec 6, 6-9 PM. |
