Zoning/Planning: Ted Bamford Director of Planning/Zoning 468-1323 Shirley Veacock, Planning & Zoning Coordinator 468-1500 ext. 135 (see working hours below) The Planning & Zoning Department would like to remind all residents that permits are needed for all sheds, pools, fences, garages, additions and new buildings. When filing an application you will need to provide a copy of your existing survey, or a reasonable drawing of the property in question. The survey or drawing should show your property boundaries, street locations, your house as it is situated on the lot, and any other structures on the property (garages, pools, decks, etc.) Show on the survey or drawing where you want to place the new work, and how far that work will be from a) the main dwelling, b) property lines, and c) any other structures on the property. (Example: construction a deck - the finished edge of the deck is 30' from side line, 40' from rear line, 25' from a detached garage, etc.) Once the application is completed, and the survey or drawing is ready, the applicant can either: 1. Leave both application and survey in the Planning/Zoning Director's mailbox. The Director will call you when approved, or with any questions or problems. 2. See the Director of Planning/Zoning during his regular hours. Any questions about setbacks must be directed to the Director of Planning/Zoning. Call the number listed above any day of the week, there is an answering machine, please leave a message.
